CAR
unless you live within a 30 km arc North or South of Sirmione (in which case you should already know the fastest route), the most recommended way to get to Sirmione is the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice).
There is a Sirmione toll booth, with fairly clear signs on how to reach the historic center, or, if you are coming from the West (Milan) you could also exit at Desenzano and then take the "tangenziale", a two-lane but fast-flowing road, then exit at the Sirmione sign, where the road rejoins the one coming from the motorway.
It is less advisable, however, for those coming from the East (Venice), to exit at the Peschiera toll booth: there is a ring road but it is rather busy and the state road is long and has several traffic lights and speed cameras.
For information on motorway traffic (and weather conditions) you can consult the motorway company's website (with useful webcams):
http://www.autostrade.it/
We are located inside the Historic Center, in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), WE DO NOT HAVE CAR PARKING inside the property but 1 MOTORBIKE SPACE, so if you arrive by motorbike you can ONLY, by prior arrangement and AUTHORIZATION, drive and park in the ZTL.
The parking reserved for hotel guests '' Grifopaking '' offers a shuttle service on the day of check-in and check-out and is about 400 m from the entrance to the historic center, it costs €20 from 12 to 12: this parking must be booked in advance through our hotel, after prepaying the service we will give you your code to access the reserved area
the alternative is the blue lines: €3.50 per hour or the large Piazzale Montebaldo car park 500 m from the entrance to the walls: €28 per day
Last information regarding parking: when traffic increases, the local police block cars about 3 km before the center, at the cemetery, to continue just say that you have a reservation at our hotel.

trains
TRAIN
Sirmione is located near the Milan-Venice railway line. There is no Sirmione railway station, but, coming from the West you can get off at Desenzano and coming from the East get off at Peschiera, then in either case take the bus to Sirmione.
For train schedules, see the Railways website.
bus
You can take the bus either in Verona and Brescia (journey time: about an hour) or, more advisably, in Peschiera or Desenzano (journey time: about 20 minutes).
Buses usually run at a frequency (at least) of one per hour. Those for Verona usually arrive at 28' past each hour (having passed Desenzano station at 05'), those for Brescia at 12' past each hour (having passed Peschiera station at 55'). But it is better to see a complete list of the Brescia-Verona routes (with stops at Desenzano-Sirmione-Peschiera).
During the summer there is also a shuttle that connects Colombare to Sirmione historic center every 15 min, the cost of a ride is €1
ferry
It can be romantic to travel by ferry on the lake. For example, if you get off at Desenzano FS station, to get to the port it is about 600 meters, downhill:
